Gordon Barron CEO and Stuart Lewis Director are in deep discussion over energy usage in the centre. Energy costs are a big issue for the Ice Centre and Stewart is taking the lead on doing a forensic analysis of the consumption across the facility to identify areas where savings can be made.

As a starting point they are reviewing each room recording the type of heating, lighting, insulation, ventilation and windows. Stuart is keen to have an accurate picture of how often the rooms are used, who uses the rooms and for how long, as this will have a bearing on solutions moving forward.

Stewart and Gordon are taking their findings to energy experts to uncover the most cost-effective ways to reduce energy costs and to help the environment.
