2027 Figure Skate Camp
14th to 18th July 2027
5 days of on- and off- ice activity, under the expert guidance of our lead coaches, Kathryn Hudson and Karen Goodwin.
The camp is split into 3 sections – one for those working on the Skate Star programme (Bronze level minimum requirement), one for those working through the BIS National Test structure, and finally one for skaters currently competing at Basic Novice level and above.
This is a pretty intense, but fun, week – skaters will be challenged to improve on the ice, and are expected to contribute and participate fully in the off–ice activities.
Each day will have a staggered start from around 6:00 am with sessions running till about 12 noon. Every afternoon will have an optional Patch Ice session with private lessons available from the camp tutors/coaches.
Breakfast and lunch is provided each day, and all participants will be given a camp T-shirt with their name printed on it. Optional hoodies are available to order as well.
Key points to note :
Our camps are hard work – please ensure you are prepared to commit to giving your best efforts during the camp.
When booking, you will be asked to provide the first name of the person attending – please make sure this is correct as we will use that to print a T-shirt for you.
We will ask you what level of test(s) you have passed – for overseas participants in particular, if you are unsure how your local test regime compares to the British Ice Skating test levels, visit the British Ice Skating website (British Ice Skating | National Governing Body | United Kingdom) for information about each particular level.
Inverness Ice Centre will provide breakfast and lunch each day for participants – please ensure you tell us about any food allergies when you book.
You must have all your own equipment for camp – there will be no skate hire available.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any secure lockers at the Centre – any personal items should be clearly marked with your name and are your responsibility. We specifically ask that mobile phones should be turned off and not used during any camp session.
Camps may be booked by paying a deposit, and subscribing to a payment plan option – please note, if you fall behind on the payment plan we reserve the right to cancel your booking so we can make the space available to someone else.
Spectators are welcome to view the camp from the upstairs viewing area – spectators around the ice pad are a distraction that affects both skaters and coaches.

For 2026, we are again going to be offering two Adult Camps
The first one will run from August 19th to August 23rd 2026
The second one will run from August 26th to August 30th 2026
Both camps will follow the same format – a mixture of on and off ice activities each day, running from about 6:30 am to roughly 12 noon, followed by an optional patch ice session with the opportunity to have some 1:1 lessons with one of the camp coaches.
Each camp can be booked as a stand alone booking, or, if you want, you can come to both camps – it’s entirely up to you, though if you do want to come to both camps, book them both at the same time to be eligible for a £30 discount on the total price
