Welcome to the revised Curling booking system.

Please note, this should only be used to re-arrange postponed matches, or book practice sessions for experienced curlers – Try Curling sessions can be booked here

Curling is only available from the 4:30 pm session on a Monday through to the 9:00 pm session on a Thursday. Weekends are given over to Skating and Ice Hockey

Make your booking using the calendar below. Please note, your booking will not immediately show on the What’s On Calendar on the right.

The What’s On Calendar below shows what is already booked in The Ice Centre. Note that new bookings will not appear here immediately.

To address some of the issues that curlers were experiencing with the original booking system, we have updated the system as follows.

The changes are:

1. You don’t have to register to use the system
2. You can enter more detail about what your booking is for – i.e. practice or match
3. You will receive an email confirmation of your booking, including a booking reference

The system is simple to use – instructions as follows:

1. Scroll through the calendar to the date you’d like to book.
2. Choose the date you want by clicking on it.
3. The available curling slots for your chosen date will appear below the calendar.
4. If all sheets in a slot are booked, the session will be greyed out and you can’t book it; also, you can’t book a session on the day – you need to book at least 24 hours in advance.
5. If a sheet is available, the slot times will show up in blue text.
6. Click on the slot you want, then fill in the details in the four boxes below – we need a name, email address, telephone number and some detail about what you are booking the sheet for.
7. Check all the details are correct – this system does not have any facility for cancelling or editing after you have booked, so if you need to make an amendment, you will have to let us know and make a new booking.
8. Finally, fill in the security code box (this is to avoid spam) and click submit.

You will (almost immediately) receive an email confirming what you’ve just booked – if you don’t get the email within a few minutes, email david@inverness-ice-centre.co.uk or call on 01463 235711 during office hours.

Once you’ve received your email confirmation, you can then go and pay (https://invernessice.touchtakeaway.net/menu). When paying you will again be asked to enter some details about your booking – please enter the booking reference, match details, and any Friends membership numbers if you are choosing the Friends’ rates.

Bookings made on here will not immediately show in the “What’s On” calendar on the website home page. These will need to be updated manually. There may be occasions where a slot appears to be available in the “What’s On” diary, but has been booked by someone else and therefore is not available for you to book. In due course the two systems will be connected so you get genuine real-time information in both places.
