Many of you will already have heard that I have made the decision to retire and will be leaving the Ice Centre in June. I have greatly enjoyed my seven years at the rink and believe the time is right for me to step aside.

We have been advertising for a General Manager to replace me and met with several strong candidates with relevant experience. Formal interviews were held last week, and we are delighted to announce that Frances Graham has been offered the role and has accepted.

Frances brings a strong blend of financial, administrative, team leadership, and hospitality experience, and I am confident she will be a great asset to the Ice Centre.

Frances will start on 27 April, which will allow us a few weeks to work together and provide her with the opportunity to be involved in the preparations for “Strictly Inverness” and our other upcoming events. I am sure Frances will wish to introduce herself personally once she has started and has had the chance to settle in.

From my meetings with Frances, I am moving on reassured that the Ice Centre is in very good hands.
