We are hugely relieved that yesterday’s announcement means that Scottish rinks can open within previously agreed plans and guidelines with no change for indoor sports.   Keith and the staff have been doing a magnificent job making ready to reopen however this is not like any other new season. We’ve had engineers in improving the ducting for our airflow, a complete spring clean with all areas cleared ahead of Rentokil’s deep clean yesterday, setting up one way systems and sanitising stations and the list goes on. CEO – Reopening Statement

As Michael has indicated in the Chairman statement, there has been lots going on behind the scenes to prepare to re-open safely. The Directors have been working collaboratively, drawing on each other’s expertise, preparing plans and developing solutions to satisfy forever changing guidelines. The situation regarding the ability for the Ice Centre to re-open has been forever changing and we are keeping pace with these. To keep you updated, we have regularly posted information from the sport’s governing bodies and updated risk assessments to our website, as well as having hosted Zoom meetings to engage with the sports.
