Friends of Inverness Ice Centre

The long-awaited Friends of Inverness Ice Centre will launch on the 10th of January 2022.

The benefits, the costs and how to join the “Friend Scheme” are all set out below.

Let’s start with the benefits, “What’s in it for you?”. “What’s in it for your club and sport?” and “What’s in it for the Ice Centre?”

“What’s in it for you”?

Being a Friend means that you will save on your ice sport activities and spending in the café or bar.

For club skaters and club hockey players, on reaching the 51%+ Friends threshold for your club, your club will be eligible for the Friends Ice Fees.

You will be making a valuable contribution towards the future of the Ice Centre.

“What’s in it for your club and sport”?

Your club and/or sport will benefit in three ways.

Firstly, there is the opportunity to receive funding from the Ice Sport Development funding pro rata to the take up in Friends scheme from your club and sport.

Secondly the Ice Sport Development funding will be used to develop each sport to help each club to attract new members.

And thirdly, for club skaters and club hockey players, (assuming the 51% threshold is exceeded for your club) your club will be eligible for the Friends Ice Fees.

“What’s in it for the Ice Centre”?

The Ice Centre will have a meaningful scheme with tangible rewards, have a scheme that is designed to nurture each sport for the long term, whilst bringing in much needed revenue and cash flow.
